Understanding the optimum blend between telehealth and face to face consultations
The Global Centre for Modern Ageing has completed the third phase of its study tracking older Australians’ response to COVID-19 restrictions, focusing on older Australians’ use of telehealth and face-to-face consultations.
There are many things that older Australians would like to see return to “normal” post-COVID, but there is one change they are very keen to keep – telehealth - according to new research undertaken by the Global Centre for Modern Ageing (GCMA).
The insights presented in this report offer innovative businesses the chance to leverage the opportunities arising from the modern ageing phenomenon and the increased demand for better housing, retirement living and aged care options. Ultimately, by empowering industry, the GCMA hopes everyone will have the opportunity to live in the right place as they age.

More than 1500 South Australians across government, education, business and community participated in a series of forums and ‘think tanks’ which generated 20 key ideas to support an ‘ageing well’ economy as part of the Shaping the Future of SA – Ageing Well program in 2016.
